Newborn DINOSAUR BABY Hat and Diaper Cover Set AND a Pattern review for Monster/Dinosaur Booties

So if you follow me here you already know I will soon be a GRANDMA!!  and my first grandchild is going to be a BOY!!!!  YAY!!!  When my dear DIL told me they were going to decorate the nursery with dinosaurs I headed straight over to Pinterest and started pinning all things DINOSAUR!! The booties in the picture were one of the first things I pinned and almost immediately I purchased the pattern.  They were designed by Amie Hartman over at HookNYarn on Etsy.   But I just didn't find exactly what I liked for the rest of the Dinosaur outfit I wanted to make for a newborn photo prop.  So with help from my DIL in deciding the look she liked the best, I set to work designing the hat and diaper cover to go with the bootie pattern.  I also made a set in pink for my soon to be born great niece!!

The pattern for the Hat and Diaper cover is below!!

The dinosaur bootie pattern is just adorable!!!  Amie did a great job with these.  I did find an error in the sizing and contacted her about it.  She was very sweet and said she would be updating the pattern immediately.  If you are new to crochet this pattern may be a bit tricky to follow.....just pay very close attention to your stitch count and make sure to use a stitch marker and you will be just fine!!  I also made a slight change to the last round of the pattern.  If you follow the pattern exactly the last round will be a slip stitch on the inside of the last round.  I preferred the look of having the sl st on the outside.  Just my personal preference.  As a pattern designer I find myself doing this quite often with others patterns....and sometimes it's not because I mean to change....just because I go with a flow and it just happens.  Amie also has many other patterns over in her Etsy Store.  I've purchased her Baby Converse pattern....that is next on my list to complete!!  She also has another pattern that looks like little military combat boots!!! They are just adorable!!

Please remember that I am human and I do make mistakes sometimes.  If you find an error in my pattern please, please, PLEASE leave me a message in the comment section below.
